'Dancing With The Stars' Recap: Disney Night

Yours truly is BACK with a recap!!

Last weeks Most Memorable Year was a night to remember, unfortunately we missed the recap due to some technical difficulties. We were however, able to watch some of the performances, and as you probably guessed?

Were VERY emotional!!

Tonight was all about Disney as the remaining couples danced to the classic tunes and created some jaw dropping routines.

Of course, the night wasn't without the pained elimination and the bottom couples were:

Erika and Gleb
Nick and Peta
Normani and Val

The first couple safe were (thankfully) Normani and Val, which sadly meant.....

Erika and Gleb were eliminated

Let's recap the dances though:

Heather Morris and Alan - Jazz

Maks may still be out of action, but he was calling the shots when it came to the routine during rehearsals.

Their 'Frozen' routine was a lot of fun, but Carrie Ann and Len weren't feeling it, but Julianne loved every second of it. Yours truly is leaning with Carrie Ann and Len though, because there were so many spins & lifts, the routine felt one note. Heather said in her pre-performance package that jazz is her specialty, but she never got a chance to really show that off.

Still, scored two 8's and two 9's!

Maks also revealed afterwards that he'll be returning next week.

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem - Jazz

This is tough.

From the start, Nancy has been one of our favorites, but something felt off tonight.

Nancy didn't seem sure of herself at all throughout the routine, really looking like she was thinking about every step along the way.

Clearly though, I was watching something else, because the judges LOVED it!!

FOUR 9'S!!

Am I watching a different show!?

Bonner Bolton and Sharna - Tango

Bonner and Sharna were given 'Wreck-It Ralph', and brought a video game to life on stage. After Bonner's emotional night last week, it was up for debate as to whether or not he could keep it going.

He looked to be having so much fun, which is all I needed. Bruno was shockingly the only judge who had any complaints, while the rest of them loved seeing more growth from Bolton.

Two 7's from Bruno and Carrie Ann, and 8's from Len and Julianne.

30 out of 40

David Ross and Lindsay - Jive

This was the first week that David appeared to be in his head the whole dance. He admitted he was in a lot of pain during rehearsals, and unfortunately, I think it showed in the dance.

The judges were definitely more critical, scoring them three 7's and an 8 from Julianne.

29 out of 40

Simone Biles and Sasha - Contemporary

That's all I need to say!

Two 9's and two 10's!!

38 out of 40

Normani Kordei and Val - Paso Doble

Joined by Donny Osmond singing a song from 'Mulan', the Fifth Harmony member was determined to get herself out of 5th place.

Val definitely brought a stellar routine, and Normani showed off some very impressive moves all the way throughout.

This was, by far, my favorite routine of the night!

The judges were wowed by them, and it showed in their scores:

A 9 from Len.....and three 10's!!!

39 out of 40

Nick Viall and Peta - Jazz

Tackling 'Pinocchio', it was really nice to see a fun side to the former 'Bachelor', because....

Nick killed this routine!!!

They embraced the moment and the character, and the routine itself was so much fun thanks to some great choreography from Peta.

The judges all loved the dance, praising Nick for finally committing, and it paid off:

Two 8's and two 9's!!

Their highest score yet!

34 out of 40

Erika Jayne and Gleb - Viennese Waltz

Erika was beginning to doubt herself, while Gleb tried to build her up.

This was by far Erika's best dance of the season, as she floated across the ballroom and looked stunning in the process. The judges were glowing with praise, and yours truly couldn't have been happier with the results.

Four 8's from the judges.

32 out of 40

Rashad Jennings and Emma - Foxtrot

After scoring the highest score of the season last week, Rashad and Emma had a lot to live up to with their 'Beauty & the Beast' foxtrot.

Emma was very tricky with their dance, throwing A LOT of routine at Rashad, and it had yours truly somewhat scared that it would be too much.

Len said that there were a few problems with his footwork, but the dance really was beautiful, and Julianne agreed with him. Carrie Ann however, said that something felt constricting and it took away from the dance.

They scored a 7 from Carrie Ann (REALLY?!), 8's from Len and Bruno, and a 9 from Julianne!

32 out of 40
