More sad news to report.
Oscar winning director ('Silence of the Lambs') Jonathan Demme has sadly died at the age of 73.
According to sources close to the family, Demme died from esophageal cancer as well as complications from heart disease. He was treated back in 2010, but then suffered from a recurrence in 2015. His health had deteriorated in the past few weeks.
His long line of film credits include 'Lambs', 'Philadelphia', 'Rachel Getting Married', and the 2015 film 'Ricki & the Flash'.
He is survived by his wife Joanne and their 3 children.
