RECAP: 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 24 Premiere

Welcome back to the ballroom!!!

Season 24 of 'Dancing With the Stars' officially kicked off tonight, and what a show it was!!

Do we already have contenders? Who landed with a thud?

Let's answer these questions with our recap!!

Judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough were all back with our beloved host Tom Bergeron once again joined by Erin Andrews.

1. Normani Kordei with Val - Quickstep

The Fifth Harmony member kicked off season 24 with a BANG of a quickstep, and it's pretty obvious already that she and Val have chemistry. Len and Bruno seemed to nitpick certain parts but Carrie Ann and Julianne loved it.

Scores came in with three 7's and a 6 from Len.

27 OUT OF 40

2. Nancy Kerrigan with Artem - Viennese Waltz

Time to be honest:

I was REALLY looking forward to Nancy.....and she didn't disappoint!!

The skating legend looked absolutely stunning and floated across the floor with such elegance from start to finish. This is in her blood. SHE'S GOT IT.

Four 7's from the judges.

28 out of 40

3. Chris Kattan with Witney - Cha Cha

How do I say this nicely?

I can't.

He's probably going home first.

Three 4's and a 5 .

17 out of 40

4. Bonner Bolton with Sharna - Cha Cha

Anybody else see the flirtation early on?

Bonner surprised me quite a bit, and while the dance had it's problems, Bonner really impressed with some moves. Len actually hit the nail on the head, by saying that he has a ton of potential.

Two 6's and two 5's, which honestly seemed a tad low. The 5's were unnecessary.

22 out of 40

5. Charo with Keo - Salsa

This woman is a legend....make no mistake about that.

She will also be a lot of fun to watch, however I don't think she's going to last that long. Her and Keo seemed mismatched for starters, and I don't think her charisma can carry her.

Three 5's and a 6 from Carrie Ann.

21 out of 40

6. Nick Viall with Peta - Cha Cha

Color yours truly impressed (slightly).

Nick made it very clear he intended to do well in the competition, and there were glimpses of that in his first dance with Sharna. He seemed very awkward during certain movements. The judges tried to coach him on a few things, but did enjoy it.

Four 6's from the judges.

24 out of 40

7. Heather Morris with Maks - Viennese Waltz

Okay, so many cried "NOT FAIR" when Heather was cast, yours truly included.

She did say right at the start, that while she's a dancer, she's not ballroom trained, which is quite different. With that, this was a gorgeous routine.

Heather flowed across the ballroom, and Maks' choreography was perfect. I really don't have any complaints about the routine.

Four 7's from the judges, which shocked me. They deserved at least one 8.

28 out of 40

8. David Ross with Lindsay - Quickstep

Now I'm confused.

The Chicago Cubs World Series champion did a very good job on his first outing, but the same scores as Heather and Maks?

Four 7's.

28 out of 40

9. Erika Jayne with Gleb - Salsa

My 'Real Housewives' queen has arrived!!

And she did a VERY good job!

Erika and Gleb already seemed to have a comfort level together, and I'm predicting Gleb could have another strong season. My complaint with the routine though, is that it seemed rushed. Erika appeared to know the routine well, but she rushed certain footwork, which would then throw her off.

Scores from the judges were four 6's.

24 out of 40

10. Rashad Jennings with Emma - Cha Cha

You want confidence and moves?

Pair those things with that million dollar smile and you have a trio winning combination, because Rashad and Emma came to play.

Julianne made a bold statement, calling it the performance of the night thus far and said they could go very far.

Highest score of the night with three 8's and a 7 from Len!!

31 out of 40

11. Mr T with Kym - Cha Cha

Well, we have the loudest competitor of the night!!

Mr. T was exactly what you thought he'd be, and that was a whole lot of fun.....and no dancing. I'm actually a tad shocked he didn't get any fours.

Four 5's!

20 out of 40

12. Simone Biles with Sasha - Tango

Could we get back to back Olympian wins?

Simone and Sasha EXPLODED onto the ballroom and while there was a moment it appeared that she was off key, I'm probably wrong anyways.

They exuded chemistry, and Len Goodman called it the routine of the night!

Four 8's, giving them the highest score of the night!!

32 out of 40

And there you have it!!

And predictions?

Favorite? Least favorite?
