Rep For Luke Bryan Releases Statement After Singer Slaps Rude Fan During Concert

I mean....he clearly reacted to the unruly fan.....

But maybe a bit too much?

Luke Bryan has found himself in the middle of a controversy after the country singer slapped a rude fan during a benefit event.

During the concert for veterans (in honor of Charlie Daniels' 80th birthday) in Nashville Wednesday night, Luke caught eye of a guy in the front row flipping him off. Without even letting go of his microphone, Luke leaned over and slapped the man in the face.

The man was escorted out of the building.

While Luke's stayed quiet on the incident, his rep released a statement:

A man in [the] front row was making crude hand gestures toward Luke during his performance. It was insulting not only to him, but more importantly to the men, women and families sitting around him who were there to support and celebrate Charlie Daniels and the efforts of raising money for the military veterans – some of who were in the audience. The concert security personnel saw the man's disruptive actions of the event and he was escorted out."
