'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 8 Premiere: First Thoughts

Can we agree?!

Yours truly is going to stray from full recap and just mention some thoughts, some highs, lows, and general feeling towards this new batch of queens.

For starters, let's just say season 7 is an afterthought and season 8 is already KILLING it!!

The girls are already more likable (for the most part), and there is substance rather than having it shoved down our throats. Early favorites for yours truly include Bob the Drag Queen, Acid Betty, Thorgy Thor and Kim Chi. Derrick Barry, while HIGHLY impressing me in the first challenge, needs to give me more (MORE).

Love me a Britney reference.

By the way, that opening challenge with the previous winners was AMAZING, and then the runway with former queens gave me life.

Now onto how I feel about the others:

I don't particularly see Naomi, Robbie or Cynthia lasting very long, and Chi Chi really surprised me. I don't think she's as naive as we;re being led to believe.

Laila could be a strong contender if she figures out her niche and comes out of her shell.

Dax is the wildcard for me.

Runway verdict:

Dax - Forgettable
Derrick - Cute
Bob - Safe (Right Ru?)
Thorgy - Surprised me, loved the outfit
Acid Betty - Fierce
Kim Chi - Brilliant (minus the walk)
Naysha - Unflattering
Laila - Loved it, but something was missing
Robbie - Tragic
Cynthia - She HAMMERED that challenge
Chi Chi - Somehow turned it out
Naomi - Not feeling the boy chest

This season has a LOT of promise, and I'm looking forward to seeing it all play out.

What did you guys think?

Early favorites?

Stand outs?

Madonna Delivers Brutal Truth During Billboard Honor

I've previously spoken out about this, but need to say more.

Madonna was honored by Billboard as Woman of the Year at last nights event, and when she took the stage....

She delivered a speech that EVERYONE needs to hear!!

Speaking out on the ageism, sexism, and controversy surrounding her legendary career, the Queen of Pop held nothing back.

Including some tears.

If this speech ever needed to be delivered, it was now.

Thank you Madonna.

Read her entire speech below:

"I stand before you as a doormat. Oh, I mean, as a female entertainer," Madonna said. "Thank you for acknowledging my ability to continue my career for 34 years in the face of blatant sexism and misogyny and constant bullying and relentless abuse."

Recalling her life as a teenager when she first moved to New York:

"People were dying of AIDS everywhere. It wasn’t safe to be gay, it wasn’t cool to be associated with the gay community," Madonna recalled. "It was …

WATCH: Britney Spears SLAYS Her Billboard Music Awards Medley!!

I haven't with me.

Britney Spears took the stage at tonight's Billboard Music Awards with a career-spanning medley, and girl didn't just bring it.....

Our favorite Louisiana girl brought the house down right out the gate, with a scorching performance that included 'Work Bitch', 'Womanizer' (THAT BREAKDOWN!!!),'I Love Rock N' Roll,  'Breathe On Me', 'Touch of my Hand', 'Slave 4 U' and of course, 'Toxic'.

What has to be mentioned is Brit's energy on stage. Her smile was back, she moved like the pro we all fell in love with, and it was FIRE from start to finish.

Check out the FULL performance below!!

And don't......oh DON'T.....ever forget this moment:

Scarlett Johansson DROPS OUT Of Transgender Film: Releases New Statement

The public outcry/backlash was enough.

Scarlett Johansson has officially dropped out of upcoming film "Rub & Tug", which is based on the life of transgender man Dante 'Tex' Gill.

Scarlett issued a statement through OUT Magazine:

"In light of recent ethical questions raised surrounding my casting as Dante Tex Gill, I have decided to respectfully withdraw my participation in the project. Our cultural understanding of transgender people continues to advance, and I’ve learned a lot from the community since making my first statement about my casting and realize it was insensitive. I have great admiration and love for the trans community and am grateful that the conversation regarding inclusivity in Hollywood continues. According to GLAAD, LGBTQ+ characters dropped 40% in 2017 from the previous year, with no representation of trans characters in any major studio release. While I would have loved the opportunity to bring Dante’s story and transition to life, I under…

Halsey BLASTS Perez Hilton Over Pregnancy Question

Well, why not use the same insult?!

Perez Hilton felt the wrath of singer Halsey over social media yesterday, when the celebrity blogger shared an article wondering if the singer was pregnant.

Halsey responded to his tweet with:

"I mean, YOU'RE about to be if you keep riding my dick like this"

Perez simply responded to her tweet with the popcorn emoji:

Let's also remember that Rihanna came up with that drag first, when she blasted a magazine for an article they wrote about her:
