The New York Times SHADES Rihanna And 'ANTI'

Knowing Rihanna though?

She could probably care less what a publication thinks.

Still, this is some SHADE!!

The New York Times dragged Rihanna and her brand new album 'ANTI' through the mud in their latest article, and her fans aren't reacting to this lightly.

The headline for their article reads:

“Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ Sells Fewer Than 1,000 Copies in U.S., but Some Call It a Hit.”

What are they talking about? 


The album was certified platinum (already) by the Recording Industry Association of America, reached #1 on iTunes and amassed 5.6 million streams on Tidal, but the Times took notice of one thing in particular: 

Nielsen's report that the album had actually only sold fewer than 1,000 copies in the US.
