I'm not even going to TRY and feign surprise over this.....
Epic mess Actress Lindsay Lohan is finally finished her torturous 35 day confinement at her luxury beachside house and returned to her natural habitat last night.....a bar!
Lindsay was seen exiting the Lexington Social House to swarms of paparazzi (shock!) with celebrity friends Lyndsey Fonseca and Emile Hirsch. It's then clear in the video footage that Lindsay trips infront of the press. A reporter can be heard shouting "She's drunk!" in the background.
Lindsay's camp shot back though.
They claimed Lindsay went there to visit friends and did not have any alcohol. The venue ALSO claims she was not served any alcohol as well.
I dunno about you....but I don't really care at this point. The fact of the matter is that Lindsay should not be in a place that serves booze.....PERIOD.
Check out the footage below and make your own guess as to whether or not Lindsay is drunk.
Confirmation came today from FOX that Randy Jackson & Steven Tyler have both re-signed with the cash cow "American Idol" for the show's 11th season, which begins in January. Notable omission from the report?
Jennifer is apparently "weighing her options".
Translation = "I want to see how much they will offer me."
Ok so that's not confirmed, but one can only assume that's why she hasn't signed a new contract. You can't argue the fact that season 10 made Jennifer even bigger as to what she already was. I'm sure it helped push sales of her most recent album "LOVE" as well.
I do hope that Jennifer comes around because I felt the chemistry between the 3 of them was something that show desperately needed. After a failed run with Ellen Degeneres, and the departure of Simon Cowell, the show needed to be made fresh.....and it was thanks to Steven and Jennifer.
I'm sure most have you have seen the disrepectful cover of the news magazine, but for those of you that haven't, feast your eyes on this:
Yeah....creepy or what?
With Diana's birthday this coming Friday, Newsweek decided to capture what she would look like at 50, and alongside her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton, they used photoshop to create this photo.
Now, there are 2 things wrong with this:
1. This is just disgusting. It's out of bad taste in regards to the royal family, especially William and Harry. I'm sure William thinks about his mother everyday and doesn't need this blatant publicity sell to remember her.
2. That's what they really think Diana would look like?! This "creation" looks almost 80, not 50.
I'm going to just leave this at that. I'm appalled by Newsweek's actions and I don't believe this magazine should hit newsstands.
Damn....I was hoping this wasn't going to actually happen!
With "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" becoming the sole L&O show on television, fans are heavily relying on series stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni on delivering their usual chemistry.
That changes come this fall.
I had announced weeks ago that Mariska aka Olivia Benson, was being reduced in her status on the show to recurring, and then was unfortunately informed that Meloni, Eliot Stabler, hadn't resigned with the show and was permanently done. That's pretty much the nail in the coffin for me. They ARE the show. Alongside Ice T and Richard Belzer, the foursome have become the staple of the show. More importantly however, Meloni & Hargitay were the heart.
Changes have happened though.
Two new leads have been announced with the female lead going to actress Kelli Giddish and the male lead being handled by Danny Pino.
I wish these 2 the best of luck with the ratings because they…
Sunday night showcased the best in R&B/Hip Hop at the 2011 BET Awards and the night was quite memorable!
The show opened with an amazing performance from the Queen of R&B, Mary J. Blige who performed 2 tracks from her 1994 album "My Life". Blige set the stage on fire and only seemed to get better once she was joined by legend Anita Baker, who then belted out her classic song "Caught Up In The Rapture" with Mary. A truly stellar opening!
The night officially began with Best R&B Male Artist......going to Chris Brown! Chris was lucky enough to beat out some formidable opponents: Trey Songz, Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green and Usher. Chris didn't stop there though.
He proceeded to take home Best Collaboration for his song "Look At Me Now" featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne.
Not one to be surrounded by controversy however, Chris took home one final award.
After Rihanna/Drake were announced as winners of the Fan's Choice Award,…
In a historical moment for the US, the New York senate voted in favour of same-sex marriage!!!
The vote came to a 33-29 decision and now makes New York the 6th state to join in equality: Iowa, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Conneticut as well as the District of Columbia.
NY Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the bill before midnight last night. Cuomo had made a promise that if the bill had passed, he would sign immediately, rather than waiting the usual 10 days.
Cuomo released a statement last night:
“New York has finally torn down the barrier that has prevented same-sex couples from exercising the freedom to marry and from receiving the fundamental protections that so many couples and families take for granted.”
Congratulations New York! This is a huge step in the movement for equality across the world!!
MTV has announced that after season 5, which begins shooting Monday, wraps later this year, they will replace the original cast of Jersey Shore with new members.
Top execs for the show have reportedly denied the claims, but MTV remains adamant that it's already in motion. The cast has just begun filming the current season after shooting season 4 in Florence, Italy. The 4th season is set to air in August with the 5th following that next year.
Reports have also begun coming in that original members: Snooki, Situation, JWOWW, and Pauly D are in negotiations to shoot spin-off's.....so they wouldn't exactly be unemployed.
Can I do without Ronnie and Sammie?
I think I'll manage.
I really hope this isn't true though, because this cast is why people watch the show. Will they watch with another bunch of Jersey kids?
With All My Children set to air its final episode this September, the show has been trying to get as many former stars back as they can before the final curtain call. Stars such as Josh Duhamel, Eva La Rue, and Leven Rambin are all set to make appearences before the end, but today's announcement is huge.
Screen icon Carol Burnett will return to All My Children for a few episodes. Burnett created the role of Verla Grubbs back in 1983, and will reprise that role when she appears in September.
Verla was last seen back in 1995 for the show's 25th anniversary.
This is huge for the show. I can't wait to see Carol share screen time with Susan Lucci.
Congrats All My Children! You guys really are pulling out the big guns and plan on going out in GRAND fashion!
Britney Spears just released the video for her 3rd single "I Wanna Go" from her 7th studio album Femme Fatale.
The video is very reminiscent of her Piece of Me video in which Britney deals with the hounding paparazzi.
I like the video. I don't LOVE the video and I'll tell you my pro's and cons.
1. Britney looks AMAZING! Girl's body is back and the skull Mickey Mouse shirt is a perfect homage to her Mickey Mouse Club childhood days.
2. The microphone attack clip is awesome. Very creative and I enjoyed that part the best.
3. The intro with Britney swearing and it being bleeped out was hilarious. Very funny stuff.
1. No dancing. The song is SO upbeat, I was waiting for a big choreographed number. Alas, it was left out (see her Radar video for the same result....actually....don't watch that video...it's really bad.)
2. The big "bear" of a man rescuing Brit from the press and the drinking of the milk. I…
I don't know how she does it......maybe she's got a horseshoe up her ass???
Lindsay Lohan showed up for court this morning to deal with the aftermath of her failing an alcohol test.
I mentioned this morning that Lindsay was busted for drinking while she was under probation stemming from....um....ok there are so many charges, who's actually keeping track?!
The Probation Department wanted Lohan's ass thrown into LA County Jail....but Judge Saunter shocked the courtroom by announcing that Lindsay's previous Judge, Judge Elden Fox, had only set her probation for no drinking from January 3 2011 to February 25 2011.
Yup. Lohan sneaks through once again.
So in other words, Judge Elden Fox never issued the alcohol tests.
The only addition Judge Saunter added to Lindsay's current probation is that she is limited to one guest at a time, and no parties.
Know what all of this means?
Lindsay is free to drink as she pleases.....among other things I'm sure.
Yesterday, news broke that fallen actress Lindsay Lohan has yet again failed an alcohol test.
Lindsay was tested twice last week after hosting a rooftop barbeque.....while under house arrest.
Scratching your head right now? Yeah I am too.
Why Lindsay was able to even have visitors is beyond me, but that doesn't matter anymore. She has been under house arrest for weeks now and it's clear she thinks she's above the law. The Probation Department is rightfully pissed off and wants Judge Saunter to throw her ass in jail.
Lindsay is scheduled to appear in court this morning in Los Angeles at 10AM.
Today, Oscar winner Meryl Streep celebrates her 62nd birthday and in honour of the day that greatness was brought into the world, I have compiled some of my favourite Meryl moments from the big screen!
1. Doubt - Battle of Wills
This Oscar nominated film was a powerhouse. Starring Meryl, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis, the film scored each of the stars an acting nomination. In the film, Streep plays Sister Aloyisius Beauvier who accuses Father Flynn (Hoffman) of wrongdoings within the church. This particular scene is the culmination of all of her "findings" and results in a blow up between the rattled nun and defiant priest. How these 2 didn't win an Oscar still shocks me....but Meryl especially. She KILLS this!
2. Sophie's Choice - Unimaginable Horror
Watch the scene......no words even begin to describe this. Meryl shows why she won the Oscar for this movie in the final moments. A brilliant piece of film and the facial expressions haunt me to …
With the release of her newest movie "Bad Teacher" making the premiere rounds, Cameron has been hitting the red carpet with some rather lacklustre outfits (excluding one)
Known for rocking (and missing) on the red carpet, all eyes have been on Cameron since the publicity began for her new flick.
I'm loving one look and completely bored by the other 2. Let's take a look at each:
1. Germany Premiere - Ok, does she look good? Her arms do! Other than the toned arms on Ms. Diaz, this outfit is a complete bore. You're a complete STAR, start dressing like it.
2. New York Premiere - This is better than the first, but still not what I want to see. Cameron knows her strength: her legs. However, the cut is really short and has us gasping for what would happen if she were to drop something. I hope she had someone else pick it up. My other problem? The design. The Chanel pattern does nothing for her figure and I'm once again disappointed.
By now, most of you have heard the horrible and tragic news about "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn. Ryan was killed July 20th at around 2:30AM after crashing his Porsche after a night of heavy drinking. Ryan had just turned 34 on the 11th of June.
"Jackass" co-stars Johnny Noxville and Steve-O had both released statements following Ryan's death but best friend (and also co-star) Bam Margera had gone silent.
Well, he isn't quiet anymore.
Film Critic Roger Ebert took to his Twitter to boldy proclaim his feelings on the accident.....and has received a lot of backlash for his words.
The tweet read:
"Friends don't let jackasses drink & drive".
Was Roger accurate in his statement? Well yeah, but that doesn't make it alright that he said it. Ryan hadn't even been gone 24 hours and this is what Roger spews? Classy guy.
Bam Margera wasn't taking it though. The "Jackass" star TORE into Ebert on Twitter with 2 stateme…
Not everyone I wanted to win took home an Emmy, but I was left satisfied with a few of the outcomes!
Host Wayne Brady delivered an enjoyable show and for the most part, the evening strolled along without any problems....except for what seemed like some problems in the production booth. The audio would stop and go at various points in the show and the live feed gave out a few times as well.
Oh well! That's the joy of live television!
The show kicked off with Rachel Ray and Penn & Teller handing out Outstanding Supporting Actor and I was THRILLED when General Hospital star Jonathan Jackson took home an Emmy for his role as Lucky Spencer. This was only the second time he's been nominated in this category. His other 2 nominations came in the form of Younger Actor. Take a look below at what Jonathan submitted for his nomination.
I love this man. Unbelievable actor.
From there on, the acting awards didn't seem to be in my favour at all. Michael Park took home Lead Actor for…
Someone please explain to me why the Much Music Video Awards need to happen every year?!
Last night, Toronto celebrated the 2011 Much Music Video Awards and the show was so amazing unbelievably boring, I can't imagine that it could have been any worse.
Luckily, they were able to deceive us with an opening that was both incredible and awful at the same time, so we got sucked in to believe that it could be an "alright" show.
Mother Monster herself took the stage in the opening minutes and performed her latest hit "Edge of Glory" and looked and sounded amazing. Unfortunately, immediately following her, came Far East Movement featuring Dev and Snoop Dogg. This second opener didn't deliver to say the least and left me scratching my head on why they couldn't have just allowed Gaga to open the show herself.
From there on, the show seemed to be in need of something jaw dropping, but that didn't happen until the end.
Former American Idol judge/future X Factor judge Paula Abdul celebrates her 49th birthday today and I couldn't think of a better way to honour her, then by reliving some of her glory days!
1. The Straight Up Queen
I should be nice considering it is her birthday, so I thought I would start off with vintage Paula. She was a force to be reckoned with in the late 80's/early 90's starting off as the go to choreographer before debuting her first pop album, "Forever Your Girl". The album managed to spawn 4 #1 hits: Straight Up, Forever Your Girl, Opposites Attract and Cold Hearted.
Take a look below at Paula busting out the song that started it all, Straight Up!
2. Paula Brings The Funny
Ok....c'mon.....Idol changed after Paula left. I admit the "crazy" Paula was always fun to watch but sometimes cringeworthy as well. Most of the times we had to try and guess what the hell she was talking about. Below are 2 of my favourite …
This is not a Britney Spears post!!!! I think I may be on Britney overdrive, but for now I shall curb my excitement for August 14th.....you know when I see the reigning Pop Princess for the Femme Fatale Tour.....have I mentioned that already?
Oh right....I have.....
I've been on a musical high lately, and wanted to share with all of you the young woman who has impressed the hell out of me.
You may know her as the girl screwing Justin Bieber a Disney star but I know her as a force to be reckoned with in the pop world.
Of course I'm talking about Much Music Awards host Selena Gomez!
The teen superstar is on a roll lately. With her 3rd studio album set to be released June 28th, Selena has been busy promoting the hell out of it.
I've gotta admit, I was worried that the album would just consist of bubblegum pop (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but I needed more from her to catch my attention.
I've been a fan of SYTYCD since it's debut and the show has given us many memorable performances over the years.
Let's take a look at my top 10 faves!
10. High Fashion (season 2) Benji/Travis/Donyelle/Heidi
My favourite season. Hands down. This final 4 were EVERYTHING to me and no season has come close to what the second was. I was a fan of all 4 of them, and while many pegged Travis as the clear winner, I was all about Benji! I'll be honest though. Brian and Mary were right: Travis steals this whole thing.
9. Begging For Mercy (season 4) Katee/Twitch
A season that had a winner I'd like to forget. My fave was definitely Katee and this performance proved it. Her and Twitch had ridiculous chemisty and Mia Michaels definitely showed again why she is an Emmy winning choregrapher. Joshua ended up winning season 4 and I can't say I was really happy about that.
I was going to wait to post anything about the Britney Spears "Femme Fatale" Tour until after I witness it first hand come August 14th, but after viewing little tidbits from last nights debut show, I couldn't resist!
Britney stormed the stage last night in Sacramento and according to fans who were in attendance......and critics!.....Britney is definitely back in top form.
I have stayed away from most of the show but couldn't help myself when I heard rumours that she brought out a song from the Spears vault: Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know!!!
Britney hasn't performed the song, off her 2nd album "Oops! I Did It Again" in about 9 years so I bet all of the fans there were going crazy. Well THIS fan just about lost his mind when he caught it on Youtube!
Britney's confidence has returned in FULL! Reports are coming in that for the most part Britney is singing LIVE throughout majority of the show. I was very skeptical when I read that, because to me, …
Last night, Lady Gaga released her music video for her 3rd single "Edge of Glory" and it's quite different from what we've come to expect from Mother Monster.
The video is very simple. No big choreographed number. No crazy (and usually weird) moments. Just Gaga and Bruce Springsteen's sax player Clarence Clemons.....and you know what?
The video focuses on Gaga and her voice and that's damn fine in my books. Of course she looks amazing and the dancing she does on her own is awesome. I LOVE the sax solo from Clarence and the whole video has such a vintage vibe to it.
Take a look below at Gaga's latest video and tell me what you think!
By the way, a note to Gaga:
Can we PLEASE get "Hair" as the 4th single????? PLEASE????
If you're all confused by what that means, you didn't watch much TV in the 90's!!!
The opening lines in the Full House theme song still to this day ring in my head. That show was EVERYWHERE and, after running a successful 8 seasons, continues to live on in syndication.
The show was based around Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) who enlisted the help of his brother in law Jesse (John Stamos) and good friend Joey (Dave Coulier) to help him raise his 3 girls, DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen) after the death of his wife and their mother.
The show ran from September of 1987 to May of 1995 and had become a huge staple for ABC.
Since the end of the show in 1995, much of the cast has gone on to bigger & better while some seem to have vanished.
Bob Saget landed the host position on America's Funniest Home Video's in 1989 and kept it until 1997. Right now, Bob currently voices…
It's safe to say most actors get their start on TV.
Some can find the success of making it to the big screen, yet some will find themselves stuck in TV purgatory. Take our birthday girls and boy today!
Doogie Howser himself (and epic Tony Award host) Neil Patrick Harris celebrates his 38th birthday today. Neil hasn't found much success with films, unless you count the Harold and Kumar movies, but has found huge success with his hit show How I Met Your Mother.
Courtney Cox also celebrates her birthday and turns 47. Most of us will remember Courtney from her days of Friends (or if you go older, Alex's girlfriend on Family Ties) but for me personally Monica Gellar will FOREVER be known to me as Gale Weathers from the Scream series! Let us not forget though her new success back on the small screen in the hit show Cougar Town.
Finally, Mad About You star Helen Hunt celebrates her 48th birthday. Helen had a string of movies that seemingly did great at the box office, yet where …
It's been many years since we've heard from Joanna Levesque AKA JoJo. Her last studio album "The High Road" was released back in October of 2006 and has since sold 2 million copies worldwide.
After much dispute over her record label which resulted in her signing with Interscope, JoJo is finally set to release her 3rd studio album later this year, "Jumping Trains", and if this new song is any indication of what fans can expect, we're all in for a treat.
The sexy, sultry song which is a response to Drake's "Marvin's Room" is VASTLY different from anything JoJo has ever done and I am all for it!
The song shows huge growth for her and I'm really looking forward to the album!
Take a listen to the song below and let me know what you think!
Such a mature sound and I can't imagine what else she is going to offer with the new album!
You know, when you become a mistress in a high profile celebrity marriage, you're usually frowned upon. The blame however, tends to fall more to the MARRIED person in the incident.
That was definitely the case in the Arnold Schwarznegger/Mildred Baena/Maria Shriver ongoing saga. Arnold got bombarbed with accusations (and rightfully so) from the start and as much I blamed Mildred as well, I couldn't help but feel for her as the mother of the child caught in all of this mess.
Well, my genuine feelings of concern for her have vanished with this news.
Mildred has showed what she's (probably) wanted from the start:
Mildred has revealed her side of the story to Hello Magazine and she's joined on the cover......by her son.
His appearence has been kept quiet and hidden since all of this shit hit the fan, but when the dollar bills started coming, the secrecy went out the window.
You're probably wondering why I'm not posting the pictures from the magazine sprea…
Neil Patrick Harris returned to host the Tony Awards last night.....and if there were any doubters as to whether or not he was the right choice.....they were proven DAMN wrong within the first 5 minutes of the show!!
Neil opened the 2011 Tony Awards with....what else? A musical number!
This was MAGIC. Neil has always had charisma and talent, so I had no worries about his ability to host the show again after his amazing stint a few years ago.
He outdid himself.
Even from the first line, I was sold! HA!
Watch below for the fabulous opening to the Tony's courtesy of Doogie Howser himself!
After viewing this SEVERAL times, 3 things I must say:
1. Keep Brooke Shields out of any future awards show opening
2. Bobby Cannavale is HOT (seriously the facial hair and slicked back hair? Fabulous)
3. Neil Patrick Harris for PRESIDENT!
Seriously though, Brooke Shields?? Awful. HA!
What did you think of Neil's epic opening to the show??
My answer is no. What NBC does with it is another story though.
By now, I'm sure you're all aware of the homophobic rant, 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan went on at a recent stand up comedy routine in Nashville.
I will NOT be posting the video due to the hatred spewed in it but will post some excerpts from the routine itself:
"Gays need to quit being pussies and not be whining about something as insignificant is bullying" "Gay is something kids learn from the media and programming"
If his son was actually gay, Tracy said:
"He better talk to me like a man and not in a gay voice or I'll pull out a knife and stab that little n***** to death".
All I have is WOW.
Since the comments, many have spoken out about how disgusted they are with Tracy's actions, including co-stars Wanda Sykes, Cheyenne Jackson, and Tina Fey. NBC Entertainment Chief Robert Greenblatt also apologized for Morgan's actions and words and issued an apology on behalf of NBC.
When you think of Broadway, many amazing shows come to mind: Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables & Gypsy.
For me however, one show immediately pops into my head:
A rock opera about a group of friends dealing with the AIDS epidemic and struggling to survive day to day under financial strain.
Created by the mastermind Jonathan Larson, the show debuted in 1996 and earned a Pulitzer Prize as well. Unfortunately, Jonathan would never see the success of his creation as he died from an undiagnosed aortic aneurysm the day before the show was supposed to open.
The show premiered as planned in Jonathan's memory and did so well that it was moved to a bigger theatre.
The success didn't stop there though.
The show debuted to a critical smash and took home Best Musical at the 1996 Tony Awards along with Best Book, Best Original Score and Best Performance by a Featured Actor - Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel).
This led to many more productions and eventually a 2005 movie adaptati…
This year's Emmy Awards will be a night to remember as always....except for the host (Sorry Wayne Brady). Odd choice.
With this being the second to last year that All My Children & One Life To Live can garner nominations, it's also the last year As The World Turns will see nominations.
All My Children seemed to do well in the acting categories taking in a total of 5 nominations including Alicia Minshew (Kendall) and Debbi Morgan (Angie) for Lead Actress, Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake) Lead Actor, Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) for Supporting Actress, and Brittany Allen (ex-Marissa) in Younger Actress.
The real frontrunner of the show however, will be General Hospital who secured a whopping 21 nominations when you take into account all of the awards including writing, direction, and stunt work. Their acting nominations went to: Maurice Benard (Sonny) Lead Actor, Laura Wright (Carly) Lead Actress, Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) and Jason Thompson (Patrick) for Supporting Actor, Nancy Lee…
Ugh.....and she can't do THAT on televised performances because!?
Britney Spears recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight for an exclusive look insde her upcoming Femme Fatale tour and left her fans anxious for the tour to start!
I will admit that the show looks absolutely KILLER and I'm beyond excited, but I can't help but be a little pissed.
Britney has been getting rather harsh reviews for her television performances lately in support of her new album. After performing a lacklustre set on Jimmy Kimmel, and then her boring performances at the Billboard Music Awards, it seemed Britney's dancing had in fact ended. She seemed almost a ghost of her former self.
Well maybe not.
Watching her rehearse for the tour has me scratching my head. Does she just not care when it's televised and only really gives it during the touring?
Take a look below and tell me what you think in the 2 parts of the interview.
I must admit though, through my bewilderment, seeing Britney …
With All My Children & One Life To Live coming to an end in September and January respectively, it got me thinking. We have seen many memorable moments in daytime over the years, so why not have yours truly count down some of his favourites?
From catfights and paternity cases, to explosions and exposed lies, daytime has given us times to cheer, but more notably, times to go: Holy shit!
10. Mardi Gras Explosion (All My Children)
All My Children really pulled out all the stops for the February Sweeps storyline in 2006 and boy, did they deliver. Word had actually gotten out that some crew members were seriously hurt when the orchestrated explosion went off. Add to the scene the haunting music "How High The Moon", and you've got a very memorable moment from the cancelled show.
9. Express To Port Charles (General Hospital)
You want crazy sweeps storylines? Look no further than General Hospital. The show is very well known for going all out, and this one didn't disapp…
